This is a bold, earthy piece with a story in every grain. Hand-carved and hand-wrapped by John, the pendant combines dark buffalo horn with a central inlay of polished buffalo bone, set on a sturdy hand-braided cord. At 6cm x 3cm, it sits with weight and presence against the chest.

Buffalo Horn – Strength, Protection & Grounding  

Buffalo horn is valued in many Indigenous and tribal traditions for its connection to the buffalo’s spirit. It’s seen as a symbol of strength, endurance, and protection. The natural striations in dark brown and black make each piece unique - no two are the same. Energetically, horn is grounding, helping you stay steady and focused when life gets chaotic.

Buffalo Bone – Clarity, Ancestral Connection & Renewal  

The clean white bone inlay contrasts sharply against the horn, representing clarity cutting through darkness. Bone is traditionally associated with ancestral wisdom, resilience, and the cycle of life and renewal. It’s a reminder that strength often comes from what’s been lived through and transformed.

John has wrapped the top with tight, intentional cord work in a cross-wrap design, giving it a rugged, tribal feel while securing the piece for daily wear. The smooth polish brings out the natural patterns in both horn and bone, and the adjustable braid lets you wear it at your preferred length.
